The Clemente Museum: The largest collection of memorabilia celebrating Roberto Clemente of the Pittsburgh Pirates life and achievements; housed in the beautifully renovated Historic Engine House 25 located in the revitalized Lawrenceville section of Pittsburgh; enjoy wine tasting in the basement “Wine Cellar.”
The Carrie Furnaces: Located at the former U.S. Steel Homestead Works (constructed in 1906) these iconic mills produced more that 1,000 tons of iron a day; closed in 1979 the 92 foot tall structures remain…an abandoned industrial site gives a “feel” of the labors of the steel industry…once the back bone of Pittsburgh.
The Bost Building: Built in 1892 as a hotel for the workers of the Homestead Mills and the center of American labor history’s most dramatic strike; this historic site now serves as the visitor’s center for the River’s of Steel National Heritage Area showcasing Pittsburgh Steel History.
OHIOPYLE, PA
Frank Lloyd Wright’s Fallingwater: Built in 1939 for the Kaufman Family from Pittsburgh as a summer home in the Mountains of the Laurel Highlands; built over a waterfall; a true architectural marvel.
Frank Lloyd Wright’s Kentuck Knob: Built for the Hagan family from Uniontown, PA, in 1954 and served as their primary residence just a couple miles from Fallingwater.
Whitewater Rafting: Many different options available; multiple levels of difficulty and time durations; whether it’s a full day of rafting or just a 1 hour “short loop” our friends with White Water Adventures can help.
Hiking: Multiple trails throughout Ohiopyle State Park.

Western Maryland Scenic Railroad: A 45-minute excursion from Cumberland to Frostburg; a climb from 600 feet above sea level to 1900 feet above sea level; runs parallel to the bike trail
The Gordon Roberts Museum: An 18 room mansion showcasing the lifestyle of an upper middle class family during Cumberland’s hey-day…a tea is available.
The Allegany Museum: Located in the William Donald Schaefer Building (circa 1903 and built as a post office); this diverse museum features the rich history of Allegany County, MD; located just one block from the trailhead.

Antietam Battlefield: Known as the most tragic battle of the Civil War with over 23,000 casualties…you can tour 13 miles of the battlefield by bike or by van with a guide; for larger groups we can secure a motorcoach.

A quaint Civil War town…part of the National Park Service…the place of John Brown’s Raid…Rick Garland of O’Be Joyful is available to provide a spectacular walking tour of this town (approximately 2 hours).
