A Rescue Pet Pedal
A Benefit for Windy Pines Rescue and Ark of Hope Rescue
In November of 2010, our local animal shelter (Allegany County Animal Shelter) started a reform process. This high kill shelter with an 85% kill rate has moved towards a no-kill model. The success of our shelter relies greatly on animal rescues to pull companion animals from the local shelter to continuously make room for additional animals in need. For every peddler that joins us for this Rescue Pet Pedal; Mountainside Bike Tours will donate a portion of the proceeds to these rescues in need.
This being our first year, the event will be relaxed and low key. We hope to encourage some of the Trail/Canal Towns to offer “specials to our peddlers”. We will keep you posted on any special events or offers as they unfold.
